Five tips for Enterprise Rentals

There are many rentals popping up in the Enterprise real estate area due to the down sales market. This is good news if you are looking to rent. Home owners that want to hang onto their properties to wait for a better sales market are turning to renting their properties and either managing themselves or hiring property management companies to handle all the details for them.

If you are looking for rentals in Enterprise or anywhere in the area including Fort Rucker here are some tips to keep in mind before you begin your search.

  • Know your credit score - Do your homework ahead of time so you are not surprised with anything a report would bring up. This can be done through any of the major three companies and remember that each one may be a different score. Try to make sure for renting your score is over 600 if possible.
  • Make sure you know yourself also - Do a background check on yourself so you know that your identity has not been compromised and that a report your landlord would pull up would not reveal anything unappealing about you. 
  • Prepare a list of references -  This is a great way to boast about yourself if you have been a good renter in the past. Try to obtain a letter from your past landlords and/or neighbors to further boost your appeal to your new landlord.
  • Prepare copies of all essential documents - Photocopy your driver’s licence, Social Security card and and work identification.  
  • Make sure your first impression is the best -  When you meet with a building owner, dress nicely, be on time and bring all the information you’ve assembled.
